TS Police Support League, Inc. (www.greenecountylawenofrcement.org) wrapped up the largest summer youth employment program in Greene County today, after providing over 100 Greene Count youth with summer jobs in June and July. These jobs taught them valuable employment skills for their future, as well as giving them an opportunity to earn extra money. Once again, the Hon. LaJeffrey Carpenter managed the program. “TS Police Support League invested over $85,000.00 in the summer jobs program this year, as we remain committed to the future of Greene County—our youth. We dedicate this, the fourth year of the program, to Sheriff Jonathan “Joe” Benison. Without him, this program would not be possible,” stated Sheila H. Smith, TS Police Support League President. “Alabama Constitutional Amendment 743 affords enrichment opportunities like this... without it, these programs and services will literally evaporate overnight,” stated J. William McFarland, Jr., TS Police Support League Secretary/ Treasurer.
