TS Police Support League, Inc. will host its third annual Great Turkey Giveaway in partnership with Greene County Sheriff Joe Benison on Saturday, November 20, at 10:00 AM at the Greene County Jail parking lot. 1500 turkeys will be given away to residents of Greene County. TS Police Support League Extends Partnership with Stillman College
EUTAW: On Thursday, November 4, 2021, TS Police Support League President Sheila Smith presented a check for $10000.00 to Stillman College President Cynthia Warwick. A portion of this donation will be used to purchase new choir robes for the Stillman College Concert Choir, and the balance will be applied to the principal endowment of the Thomas C. Smith Memorial Scholarship at Stillman College. This donation continues the League’s ongoing partnership with Stillman College, of which Mrs. Smith serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. TS Police Support League Secretary-Treasurer Billy McFarland said, “Thanks to Greene County Sheriff Jonathan “Joe” Benison for the opportunity to hold a charity bingo license, gifts such as these are able to enrich West Alabama. We must work to save Constitutional Amendment 743 to protect charity bingo.”
TSPSLI Helps Greene County Seniors Beat the Summer Heat
EUTAW: TS Police Support League, Inc. recently partnered with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department to distribute 100 electric fans to senior citizens in need to combat summer heat.
League President Sheila Smith said. “We are happy to be able to make the lives of seniors in our community a little better this summer.” League Secretary/ Treasurer Billy McFarland stated, “Thanks to Greene County Sheriff Joe Benison for giving us the opportunity to serve. Without electronic bingo and Constitutional Amendment 743, none of our gifts to the community would be possible."
TS Police Support League, Inc. Leases Six New Vehicles for GCSO
EUTAW: The TS Police Support League (www.greenecountylawenforcement.org) leased six new 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe cruisers to the Greene County Sheriff's Office this morning (See attached photo). This major donation means TSPSLI is on its way to donate over $2 Million back to the Greene County community in 2021. These vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and equipment packages.
TSPSLI Treasurer Billy McFarland said, "We are honored to continue to have the opportunity afforded to us under Constitutional Amendment 743 through Greene County Sheriff Joe Benison to continue our philanthropic efforts in one of the poorest counties in the nation. Without electronic bingo, none of our work would be possible."

TS Police Support League, Inc. Donates to Eutaw First Responders Committee
EUTAW- The TS Police Support League, Inc. donated $1500.00 to the Eutaw First Responders Committee. League President Sheila H. Smith presented the check to Committee Chairman Sandra Walker on June 15.
Smith said, “TSPSLI is proud and honored to continue our work to support local law enforcement. With the recent observation of National Police Week, we felt it an appropriate time to say thanks to our Eutaw-area law enforcement who risk their lives for us every single day.”
TSPSLI Secretary/Treasurer Billy McFarland said, “Thanks to Sheriff Joe Benison for the continued opportunity to serve the greater Greene County region.”
The First Responders Committee will be holding a parade in Eutaw on Thursday, June 17 to honor the region’s law enforcement community.
TSPSLI Expands Annual Summer Jobs for Greene Youth Program
EUTAW: TS Police Support League, Inc. is proud to announce that it will expand its annual Greene County Summer Jobs program for youth to include 50 student workers this year. The youth will earn money while gaining valuable job skills as temporary employees of private business and industry as well as local units of government throughout Greene county. TSPSLI President Sheila Smith commended the growth of the program and stated, “Thanks to Sheriff Joe Benison, we are able to continue and expand our summer jobs program for Greene youth.” Pictured are some of the youth participants, along with Smith and Program Manager LaJeffrey Carpenter.
TSPSLI continues support of Eutaw Police Department
EUTAW: TS Police Support League President Sheila H. Smith presented a check for $1000.00 to Eutaw Police Chief Tommy Johnson on Tuesday, April 27.
These funds will supplement the fuel charges incurred by the Department, and will be made monthly.
Smith said, "With National Police Week rapidly approaching, we are proud to continue our support of the Eutaw Police Department."
League Treasurer Billy McFarland stated, "We look forward to partnering with Mayor Johnson and EPD to benefit all citizens for a better Greene County."

EUTAW: TS Police Support League President Sheila Smith is proud to announce that, in 2019-2020, the TS Police Support League has donated over $5,000,000.00 to the greater Greene County community. “This milestone would not be possible without the opportunity afforded us by Greene County Sheriff Jonathan ‘Joe’ Benson,” Smith remarked.
