TSPSLI Donates Even More to the Eutaw Police Department

T.S. Police Support League, Inc. President Sheila Smith presented two checks totaling $5000.00 to Eutaw Police Chief Derrick Coleman and Eutaw Assistant Police Chief Walter Beck.  The funds will be used to repair an EPD Cruiser as well as to pay for gasoline for the department for the past two months.

 

President Smith said, “Our community needs the TSPSLI now more than ever.  Even though our very existence is being threatened in Montgomery by SB 321 and HB 545, we continue to help Greene County.”

 

The TSPSLI has donated three vehicles to the EPD, provided major support for the rifle range, purchased new uniforms and equipment, as well as firearms for the department.  In addition, the League has provided opportunities for Eutaw’s finest to participate in continuing education/ training events.

 

TSPSLI Purchases new Automated External Defibrillators for Eutaw Police Department

TSPSLI President Sheila Hann Smith presents Eutaw Police Department Chief Coleman with a check for three new Automated External Defibrillators. These life-saving devices will enable EPD officers on patrol to respond in emergency situations. President Smith said, “Gifts like these to the community are made possible by support from Greene County Sheriff Joe Benison. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve our county.”

T. S. Police Support League hosts Community Outreach Day at the Palace Bingo

The T. S. Police Support League, Inc. hosted a Community Outreach event at the Palace Bingo in Knoxville on Saturday, November 17. BBQ lunches were served, free t-shirts were given, and two radio stations broadcasted live from remotes. Most importantly, $50,000.00 in charity donations were distributed to the Greene County High School Band, the 7th Judicial Circuit Community Corrections, the Guadalupean Sisters, the Greene County Department of Human Resources, the Greene County Association of Volunteer Firefighters, Greene County E-911, the Greene County Girl Scouts Troop, and the Greene County Health System. League President Sheila H. Smith said, “It is an honor to continue to support the greater Greene County community. Our thanks to Sheriff Joe Benison for the opportunity. This year, the T.S. Police Support League is on track to make $1.5 million in donations to our community.”

TS Police Support League Donates Another Vehicle to the Eutaw Police Department

The T. S. Police Support League donated $46,000.00 to the Eutaw Police Department for the purchase of a new, fully-equipped police SUV. League President Sheila Smith said, “This is the second vehicle we have donated to the EPD to help keep our community safe. Thanks to Sheriff Joe Benison for the continued opportunity to help our community.” The vehicle was donated in memory of the late Tommy Summerville, former Police Chief of Eutaw.
